Minimum duration: 3 years full-time or equivalent part-time.
80 cp (Honours)
Minimum duration: 1 year full-time or equivalent part-time.

EFTSL value of units: All 10 cp units in this course have an EFTSL value of 0.125. Units with a cp value of a multiple of 10 have corresponding EFTSL values.
1. Requirements for Completion of the Pass Degree
To qualify for the Pass degree, a student must complete:
- 240 cp from units in the Schedule of Unit Offerings, consisting of:
- 40 cp from Practical Studies, completed in one instrument or voice;
- 20 cp from Choral Conducting;
- 20 cp from Choral Experience;
- 40 cp from History of Music which must include:
- at least 10 cp from Core Units; and
- up to 30 cp from Electives;
- 40 cp from Techniques and Theory of Music;
- 10 cp from Liturgy and Liturgical Music Units;
- 70 cp from Electives24 which must include at least a further 20 cp from:
- Practical Studies; or
- Choral Conducting (10 cp) and Choral Experience (10 cp);
- required Volunteer Experience25.
2. Requirements for Completion of the Honours Degree
To qualify for the Honours degree a student must, in addition to satisfying the requirements of the Pass degree, complete 80 cp from the Schedule of Honours Unit, consisting of units approved by the Head of School selected as follows:
- 10 cp from Research Methods;
- 50 cp from the Thesis;
- 20 cp from Electives.
