ETHN301 Australian Studies: Independent Study (3rd year only) 10 cp
Prerequisites 1 Australian Studies unit at introductory (100) level
Teaching Organisation Independent study under the guidance of a supervisor.
This unit allows students, who are majoring in Australian Studies, an opportunity to pursue a particular interest within Australian Studies and to study it in considerable depth. Historical, comparative, and sociological perspectives will provide the methodology for investigation. Only students in their final year will be considered for this unit.
ETHN400 Methods in Asian Studies Research 10 cp
Prerequisites Entry into the BA(Honours) course

This unit introduces a range of skills and methods that can be used in conducting research and writing substantial research papers and theses in the field of Asian Studies. The unit aims to provide the basis from which students will embark upon their research and writing of the honours thesis.
