Brother M. B. Hanrahan Religious Education Prize
Established in 2001 by the
Eligibility The prize is awarded to the graduate from the Master of Religious Education Program who, in the opinion of the selection committee, has displayed excellence and has achieved the highest overall results among that year’s graduates.
Value Monetary award and a Certificate.
Selection by a committee chosen by the Head of School of Religious Education.
Bob and Margaret Frater Scholarship
The Bob and Margaret Frater Scholarship has been established to recognise and reward those primary teachers within Catholic primary schools who display leadership qualities and commitment and will contribute to the continuing development and enhancement of the school system by providing them with a international experience.
Eligibility An ACU National graduate working in the teaching profession in a NSW or ACT Catholic systemic primary school. Current enrolment in an ACU National postgraduate course would be an advantage but is not essential.
Demonstrated leadership in schools.
Display a commitment to contributing to the advancement of the educational community.
Evidence of acceptance into a conference/activity must accompany the application.
Value There is provision for up to two scholarships to be awarded each year to a total value of approximately $10,000.
Selection Applications will be judged on the quality of the proposal and the example of leadership qualities outlined by the applicant.
The application form must be completed and lodged by Friday 23 March 2007 at the Australian Catholic University Foundation Office,

Strathfield
Association of Catholic School Principals Inc. Prize
This prize was established in 1996 by the Association of Catholic School Principals Inc. who saw it as being important to encourage committed teachers to be part of the Association’s work in Catholic education.
Eligibility The prize is made to a graduating student in the Graduate Diploma in Education (Secondary) program who displays enthusiasm for teaching, leadership potential, and commitment to the ethos of the Catholic school whilst at ACU National.
Value $500.

Carroll & O’Dea Scholarship
The scholarship has been established by the
Eligibility Student enrolled in the Master of Education (Communities and Social Justice) course.
Value up to $3,000 for HECS payment.(Foundation Co-ordinator will arrange payment through the HECS & Fees Office).

Council of
The Council of Catholic School Parents (NSW) has a continuing interest in the role of parents and the community in education and established this annual scholarship in 2005 to encourage involvement in this area.
Eligibility The scholarship is available to an eligible indigenous student who is enrolled in a postgraduate course within the Faculty of Education at Strathfield and who is achieving academically and has an interest in or an understanding of the importance of parent and community involvement in education.
Value $1,000 and a Certificate.
Application Closing date 30 March each year.

This prize was established in 1996 to encourage research in the area of Parent-School communication.
Eligibility Given to a Master of Education student undertaking research in the Parent-School communication process, especially parent-teacher interviews.
Value $2,000.
