(2) To be eligible to teach in Catholic schools, applicants must include relevant Theology units in their undergraduate degree to enrol concurrently in the Graduate Certificate in Religious Education.
(3) In NSW the Department of Education and Training requires the undergraduate degree to contain either one full academic year in four nominated areas or two full academic years of study in one area and one full academic year in two other nominated areas. The nominated areas are: Mathematics, Science and Technology, English, Personal development, health and physical education, Human society and its environment, Creative and practical Arts, Languages other than English, Information Technology, Psychology, and Education studies.
(4) An applicant who has relevant current clinical experience and/or post-registration qualifications may apply for special admission.
(5) An applicant who lacks the formal prerequisite but who has at least one year's experience in a related area of exercise science may apply for special admission.
(6) An applicant who holds a Diploma or Certificate in Nursing may apply for special admission.
(7) An applicant who lacks the formal prerequisite but who is licensed to practise midwifery within the state where the course is to be undertaken may apply for special admission.
(8) An applicant who lacks the formal prerequisite but who has equivalent midwifery qualifications and experience may apply for special admission.
(9) An applicant who lacks the formal prerequisite but who has held a senior leadership position in the area of clinical education may apply for special admission.
(10) An applicant who lacks the formal prerequisite but who (a) holds a Certificate or Diploma in Nursing and has at least two year's experience in a senior management position in (i) nursing [for the Master of Nursing (Management)] or (ii) clinical specialty [for the Master of Nursing (Practice)]; or (b) has a demonstrated record of relevant publication in professional journals: may apply for special admission.
(11) An applicant who lacks the formal prerequisite but who (a) holds a Certificate or Diploma in Nursing and has at least two year's experience in a senior management position or in a senior leadership position in nursing; or (b) has a demonstrated record of relevant publication in professional journals: may apply for special admission.
