There are no formal prerequisite educational qualifications. However, evidence of two years sustained practice in meditation will normally be required, along with two referees’ reports – one from a personal and one from a professional referee familiar with their meditative experience, for example: minister of religion, religious superior, school principal, director of nursing or other health supervisor. A selection interview will be held for all students undertaking the course for an award. An interview may also be held for auditing students. The interview panel will consist of two members from the School of Prayer Advisory Board and reserves the right to contact referees. All students, including those auditing the course, are subject to the University’s Statute 10 Student Conduct and Discipline. Applicants should note that a police check will be required for some experiential learning or professional experience placements, for example in schools.
