EFTSL value of units:   All 10 cp units in this course have an EFTSL value of 0.125. Units with a cp value of a multiple of 10 have corresponding EFTSL values.

1.         REQUIREMENTS FOR COMPLETION OF THE GRADUATE DIPLOMA [2] [3]

To qualify for the Graduate Diploma, a student must complete:

(a)        100 cp from the Schedule of Unit Offerings, consisting of:

(i)      40 cp from Education Studies units;

(ii)      60 cp from Curriculum units;

and

(b)        Professional Experience consisting of a 50 day practicum.

To be eligible to teach in Catholic schools, applicants must include relevant Theology units in their undergraduate degree or enrol concurrently in the Graduate Certificate in Religious Education.

In NSW the Department of Education and Training requires the undergraduate degree to contain either one full academic year in four nominated areas or two full academic years of study in one area and one full academic year in two other nominated areas. The nominated areas are: Mathematics, Science and Technology, English, Personal Development, Health and Physical Education, Human Society and its Environment, Creative and Practical Arts, Languages other than English, Information Technology, Psychology, and Education Studies.
