EFTSL value of units: All 10 cp units in this course have an EFTSL value of 0.125. Units with a cp value of a multiple of 10 have corresponding EFTSL values.
1. REQUIREMENTS FOR COMPLETION OF THE PASS DEGREE
To qualify for the Pass degree, a student must complete:
(a) 240 cp from units in the Schedule of Unit Offerings, consisting of:
(i) 40 cp from Practical Studies, completed in one instrument or voice;
(ii) 20 cp from Choral Conducting;
(iii) 20 cp from Choral Experience;
(iv) 40 cp from History of Music which must include:
(a) at least 10 cp from core units; and
(b) up to 30 cp from Electives;
(v) 40 cp from Techniques and Theory of Music;
(vi) 10 cp from Liturgy and Liturgical Music Units;
(vii) 70 cp from electives[1] which must include at least a further 20 cp from:
(a) Practical Studies; or
(b) Choral Conducting (10 cp) and Choral Experience (10 cp);
and
(b) required Volunteer Experience[2].
2. REQUIREMENTS FOR COMPLETION OF THE HONOURS DEGREE
To qualify for the Honours degree a student must, in addition to satisfying the requirements of the Pass degree, complete 80cp from the Schedule of Honours Unit , consisting of units approved by the Head of School selected as follows:
(a) 10 cp from Research Methods;
(b) 50 cp from Thesis; and
(c) 20 cp from Electives.
