EFTSL value of units: All 10 cp units in this course have an EFTSL value of 0.125. Units with a cp value of a multiple of 10 have corresponding EFTSL values.

1.         DEFINITIONS

“Bachelor of Arts Major”: an approved sequence of units in one discipline or approved interdisciplinary area totalling at least 80cp in prescribed units, normally including at least 10 cp at introductory level and at least 60 cp at advanced level.

“Bachelor of Arts Minor”: an approved sequence of units in one discipline or approved interdisciplinary area totalling at least 40cp in prescribed units, normally including at least 10 cp at introductory level and at least 20 cp at advanced level.

“Bachelor of Business Major”: 80 cp in prescribed units which build on a common core of knowledge for all business majors.

2.         REQUIREMENTS FOR COMPLETION OF THE PASS DEGREE

To qualify for the Pass degree, a student must complete:

(a)      320 cp, consisting of:

    (i)      (a)  120 cp from Core Business units selected in accordance with the requirements for the Bachelor of Business degree;

            (b)  200 cp selected in accordance with the requirements for the Bachelor of Arts degree, consisting of:

      (i)         80 cp from a Major in either Marketing or Human Resource Management or International Business[2];

      (ii)        80 cp from any Bachelor of Arts Major; and

      (iii)       40 cp from one Bachelor of Arts Minor or from Electives;

or

          (ii)      in the case of a student wishing to undertake a major in Accounting:

                   (a)  200 cp from units selected in accordance with the requirements for the Bachelor of Business degree, consisting of:

                         (i)     100 cp from Core Business units;

                         (ii)    80 cp from an Accounting Major;

                         (iii)   20 cp from LEGL201 Company Law and LEGL300 Taxation Law;

                   (b)  120 cp selected in accordance with the requirements for the Bachelor of Arts degree, consisting of:

                         (i)     80 cp from any Bachelor of Arts Major;

                         (ii)    40 cp from one Bachelor of Arts Minor or from Electives;

(b)     two approved Professional Experience units from the Bachelor of Business degree.

3.         REQUIREMENTS FOR COMPLETION OF THE HONOURS DEGREE

To qualify for the Honours degree a student must satisfy the requirements set out in the rules for Honours in the relevant single degree.



[1] Students in Sydney undertake three of the four units in Years 1 and 2 of the course at the Strathfield Campus (with the exception of ACCT100) and all units in Years 3 and 4 of the course at the North Sydney campus.
