Donors and supporters play an important role in sustaining the University's strategic priorities and achievements. This investment from staff, current students, graduates, church and community organisations and businesses is managed through the University Foundation. It supports teaching and research needs, outreach programs, scholarships, prizes, awards, and capital programs.
The University has established ACU Alumni to maintain its relationship with its graduates. Alumni manages a range of University services to enhance graduates' relationship with the University and with each other, including and facilitating specific events and reunions, as well as producing the Alumni magazine and e-news bulletin. All graduates of ACU are invited to visit the Alumni web site for the latest news and update their details online.
Online learning and teaching is a key part of the University's flexible approach to supporting the student learning experience. As a multi-campus University we invest systematically in online learning and teaching technologies and use these either in fully online units or, in combination with face-to-face teaching in web-enhanced and distance units. This approach seeks to enrich learning and teaching experiences, to create new opportunities for learning, to strengthen and extend learning communities, to promote new ways of communicating and to provide better access to an ever-increasing range of discipline-specific education and research-based pedagogy resources.
The Learning Environment Online (LEO) can be accessed under LEO from the Students home page. Lecture recordings are available for lectures held in large theatres - please check with your Lecturer each semester.
The Learning and Teaching Centre provides overarching co-ordination of the pedagogical, technical and developmental aspects of flexible delivery.
