1. Admission Requirements
There are two pathways into this course and admission is subject to supervision and resource availability.
The first pathway is to satisfy the entry requirements to commence the Master of Psychology (Clinical) and Doctor of Philosophy simultaneously. Applicants must first contact the School of Psychology to explore potential research areas, identify a potential PhD supervisor and write a brief research proposal. Following this, they may apply to Graduate Research for admission to the PhD, and apply simultaneously online for entry into the MPsych program.

The second pathway is for those already enrolled in the Master of Psychology (Clinical) who have completed successfully year 1 with a Distinction average across all subjects in that program. Applicants must first contact the School of Psychology to explore potential research areas, identify a potential PhD supervisor and write a brief research proposal. Upon successful completion of the first year of studies, candidates may then apply to Graduate Research for admission to the PhD program.
2. Requirements for Completion of the Degree
To qualify for the combined degree, a student must complete 370 cp from the Schedule of Unit Offerings, consisting of:
3. Maximum Period of Candidature
The maximum duration of candidature will normally be not more than ten years part-time from the commencement of enrolment.
4. Progression Requirements
Students are required to follow the pattern of unit enrolment set out in the relevant Course Enrolment Guide, unless otherwise approved by the Course Coordinator. In all aspects of progress through the course, students will be advised by the Course Coordinator.
