Prerequisites Foundation Year Units or equivalent
Teaching Organisation 150 hours of focused learning.

This unit focuses on respiratory and neurological emergencies and will extend and consolidate concepts from previous units. The student will develop an understanding of epidemiology and pathophysiological principles related to these emergencies. The application of critical thinking strategies will assist in the assessment and management in the pre-hospital setting. Through enquiry-based learning this unit will enable students to provide evidenced-based pre-hospital care.
